ADA Sputum

The ADA sputum test measures Adenosine Deaminase in sputum to assess possible tuberculosis of the lungs. It is helpful in cases where smear or culture results are not clear or when TB is strongly suspected clinically. Elevated ADA supports an active inflammatory or infectious process in the lungs. It is used as a supplementary diagnostic tool.
